Barbara Beck

Barbara is an almost native Floridian moving here at the age of 9. The Lord became her Savior during her high school years with a deeper walk happening when she re-dedicated her life to Christ at the age of 24. She taught English, speech, writing, and reading in public and private schools for 13 years before trying her hand at television ministry. First, she worked with Mat Staver of Liberty Counsel as his co-host on Law & Justice where the focus was on educating the public about First Amendment rights. The Lord then led her to TV 45 where she was the Down Home Cook for a season encouraging healthy, happy mealtimes at home. This led to her current ministry position of co-hosting with Ken on The Good Life which she finds exhilarating, challenging, educational, and most of all humbling! She calls it her best job ever!

Another one of Barbara’s loves is home group Bible study. She and husband Tommy led Crown Ministries out of their home for many years, as well as countless other studies on strengthening and deepening our relationship with the Lord. Tommy is on staff with Crown Financial Ministries, and Barbara has supported Tommy in helping reach others for Christ through teaching and encouraging financial faithfulness through biblical stewardship principles. Currently, Barbara leads a woman’s group out of her home which is beginning its 6th year. They love to study anything by Beth Moore!

Tommy and Barbara have been married for 36 years, and they have 2 beautiful daughters, Kristen and Kelsey, and a fabulous son-in-law, Chris. The newest and most exciting season of her life is that of savoring being a grandmother to 2-year old Charlie and next baby blessing who is forming as we speak (due in January!). The Lord has given Barbara enjoyment in the area of writing as she muses and journals many ways He is at work in her daily life. She has written a devotional book on family which she hopes to publish in the coming months.

Barbara feels enormously blessed to be in ministry with the wonderful people at TV 45 who have an obvious love for sharing Christ with the world through Christian television. She loves meeting people in all walks of ministry and praying for them and their needs. Barbara says, “Being in ministry at TV 45 is a gift from the Lord. It is a joy, privilege and blessing to serve in this way and to witness the Lord’s work through so many different ministries and people. Praise God for this unique opportunity to come alongside so many wonderful people! I pray that God will be glorified through The Good Life and all the other programming offered through this station.
