Ken spent the first years of his life in Ohio and moved to Daytona Beach, FL when he was 13. He graduated high school and married his high school sweetheart, Kathy and the two of them moved to Gainesville to attend college. While attending college, Ken worked for a bank, becoming a loan officer at age 20, and graduated from the Florida School of Banking at the University Of Florida. He continued in banking as a Vice President for 13 years.
Feeling a call to ministry, he joined Good Life Broadcasting, WTGL TV 52 in 1982. He was appointed President and General Manager in 1993 and has co-hosted Good Life’s flagship program “The Good Life” since 1983. Under his leadership, WTGL was named “Television Station of the Year” in 1996 by the National Religious Broadcasters.
In 2001 Good Life added its second full power station, WLCB TV 45 which later became WTGL TV 45. It reaches 1.4 million homes and over 90,000 hotel rooms in the Orlando television market.
Ken was elected to the Board of Directors of National Religious Broadcasters and served the association for several years. He has received numerous awards and honors from community, civic and religious organizations.
He has been married to Kathy for 40 years, has two grown sons and daughters in law, Greg and Kristen, Steve and Tameka, and six grandchildren, Makayla, Grace, Madison, Jack, Mylie and Katie, who all live in the Orlando area.
